< 외국인의 지상파방송사업자 주식취득 금지 안내 >

□ 방송법에서는 지상파방송사업자에 대해 외국인의 주식 취득을 금지(§14①)하고 있습니다.

  ※ 현재 취득 금지 대상 상장주식 종목 : ㈜SBS, ㈜케이엔엔, ㈜대구방송

□ 외국인이 관련 주식을 취득할 경우, 방송법에 따라 해당 주식에 대한 의결권 행사가 제한(§14⑤)되거나 방송통신위원회로부터의 시정명령(§14⑥) 대상이 될 수 있습니다.     

□ 또한, 시정명령을 위반할 경우에는 1년 이하의 징역 또는 3천만원 이하의 벌금이 부과(§106)될 수도 있습니다.

□ 따라서, 외국인(국내 거주 외국인 포함) 고객께서는 선의의 피해를 입지 않도록 상기 사항을 정확히 숙지하신 후 투자에 임하여 주시기 바랍니다.

□ Broadcasting Act prohibits an investment or a contribution by foreign capital on a terrestrial broadcasting business.

  ※ Listed stocks subject to prohibition : SBS, KNN, TBC

□ In the event of infringement, the investor may face limitations on exercising voting rights on the stock in question, or be subject to  corrective orders issued by the Korea Communications Commission. 

□ Moreover, the investor shall be punished by imprisonment with labor for not more than one year or a fine not exceeding 30 million won if violating the corrective orders.

□ We ask foreign investors(including resident foreigners in Korea) to please carefully review the above notice in order to avoid unnecessary disadvantages.
